Top Gulf official offers glimmer of hope on Trump-Iran nuclear talks as threat of war hangs over region

According to Fox News, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the UAE Federal National Council, said in an exclusive interview that progress has been observed in negotiations between the United States and Iran through Qatari mediation. He added that while the UAE hopes both sides will reach a point of trust-building and political solutions, the option of military conflict is not entirely ruled out. These remarks came as Reuters reported that Iran submitted a new nuclear proposal to Washington via Qatar, while continuing to insist on certain conditions before talks proceed. UAE officials emphasize that while hoping for diplomacy, the country remains fully prepared for the worst-case scenarios to protect its security and economy.
