Whole Australia team knew of sandpaper use – Khawaja

Usman Khawaja, 39, has claimed in extracts of his autobiography, 'Sabr', published in the Sydney Morning Herald, that the entire Australia team was aware of the ball-tampering incident in 2018. Khawaja stated that it was not just the batters or bowlers, but the whole team who knew about the use of sandpaper. This contradicts previous denials from bowlers Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon, who maintained they were unaware of the foreign substance. Former coach Darren Lehmann denied the claims, calling them a reopening of bad memories. Cricket Australia stated they remain comfortable with the findings of their original integrity process.
