IDF confirms elimination of three Hamas commanders in Gaza strikes

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit announced on Friday that Hudhaifa Khaled Suleiman Qawari, a company commander in Hamas' Khan Yunis brigade, was killed in an airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday. According to the IDF, Qawari was involved in training, arms transfers, and planning attacks against Israeli troops and civilians. The military stated that precautions were taken to minimize civilian harm before the strike. Additionally, the IDF confirmed the death of Muhammad Bassam Muhammad Mushtaha, a company commander in the Shati' Battalion, who was killed in a strike two weeks ago in northern Gaza. Mushtaha was reported to have participated in the October 7 massacre and the holding of several hostages. Furthermore, Jamal Mahmoud Abu Kamil, a Hamas commander and Gaza District Police chief who also infiltrated Israel on October 7, was eliminated in a separate strike in Gaza City. The IDF stated these operations were conducted to remove immediate threats to Israeli forces and civilians.
