According to the source, the recent firing toward Aqaba was an attempt to signal Israel. Analysts suggest that the Iranian regime, facing economic pressure from Washington's policies and the loss of its leverage in the Strait of Hormuz, may be turning to a dangerous strategy of resuming hostilities to threaten oil and desalination infrastructure in Gulf states. In response, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz held a situation assessment meeting with the Chief of Staff and senior military officials.
