UAE says Iran fired two missiles at it, both fell in the sea

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence announced on Tuesday that its air defense systems detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward the country. According to the official statement, both projectiles fell into the sea, causing no injuries or damage. Emirati officials stated that the missiles were aimed at maritime traffic. This incident marks the first of its kind reported since the May 4 strike on the port of Fujairah. The UAE Ministry of Defence affirmed its full readiness to deal with any threats and urged the public to obtain information only from official authorities. Meanwhile, the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen claimed to have targeted an Aramco refinery in Jazan, Saudi Arabia, with drones. The United Nations expressed deep concern over the risk of Yemen becoming further entangled in the wider regional confrontation, noting the severe strain on regional trade and energy flows.
