Ultra-Orthodox protesters block West Bank highway following arrest of draft dodger

According to the Times of Israel, dozens of ultra-Orthodox men blocked a highway in the West Bank following the arrest of a yeshiva student in his 20s from Ashdod. The suspect was initially stopped by police for driving a stolen vehicle, at which point it was discovered that he was a draft dodger. Israeli police stated they are working to clear the road and disperse the protesters. Tensions regarding the mandatory military conscription of seminary students remain a significant point of contention within Israel.
