Ben Gvir: We should kill 30 to 40 people in Gaza daily, they are not worthy of life

Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has called for an escalation of military operations in Gaza, suggesting that Israel should conduct nightly targeted strikes to kill 30 to 40 people. The comments were made during the inaugural episode of the 'October 8' podcast, hosted by Rom Braslavski, a former hostage of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

In the interview, which aired on Saturday, Ben Gvir expressed disagreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government regarding the scaling back of military operations. He stated, 'It is not just about those who pose an immediate threat. There are people there who are not worthy of life. They shouldn't live; they are not even people.' Ben Gvir also advocated for the resettlement of the Gaza Strip and the mass emigration of Palestinians, asserting that the entire territory belongs to Israel.

During the same podcast, Braslavski asked the minister if he could personally execute his former captor. Ben Gvir responded that he would 'turn the world upside-down' to make that happen, adding that executing Palestinian prisoners is one of his 'greatest dreams.'

While Ben Gvir holds a senior position in the security cabinet and oversees the national police and prison system, he does not have direct authority over the military to order strikes in Gaza. His remarks, however, have drawn significant attention in both Arab and international media, highlighting the hardline stance of a key figure within the current Israeli government.
