15-year-old arrested in Jerusalem for allegedly abusing a kitten

Israeli police reported that a 15-year-old minor was arrested on suspicion of beating and kicking a kitten on Bab al-Huta Street in Jerusalem’s Old City. The incident was identified by operators at the Israel Police’s Mabat 2000 surveillance center. Following the review of the footage, officers from the David District and the Jerusalem Border Police’s Old City Battalion launched an operation to locate the suspect. The 15-year-old resident of the area was subsequently arrested and taken to the David District for questioning. At the conclusion of the initial investigation, the minor appeared before the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court, which ordered his release to house arrest. The investigation file has been transferred to the Israel Police Prosecution Unit to determine whether to pursue further legal proceedings.
