Anti-Israel activist arrested for alleged sexual assault of a child near Har Hevron

The Har Hevron Regional Council reported that an anti-Israel activist was detained by local residents and subsequently arrested by police on Saturday following allegations of sexual assault against a child. According to the council, three children aged 10-12 were traveling from the community of Carmel toward the Barkai neighborhood when they were intercepted by a group of Palestinian Arabs and activists. During the encounter, one of the activists allegedly sexually assaulted one of the children. Local residents who witnessed the incident intervened and held the suspect at the scene until security forces and police arrived. The suspect is currently in police custody, and the child's father has filed an official complaint. Eliram Azulay, head of the Har Hevron Regional Council, condemned the incident as a crossing of a criminal red line and called for the judicial system to prosecute the attacker to the fullest extent of the law. He also commended the residents for their swift response in preventing further harm.
