Possession Remake Starring Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner Set for 2027 Release

The remake of the 1981 supernatural thriller Possession, starring Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner, is scheduled for a summer 2027 theatrical release. According to Variety, Paramount has set the premiere date for 11 June 2027. The film will open on the same day as Universal's live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon 2. Parker Finn, director of Smile, is writing and directing the new project. The plot follows the relationship between a spy and his wife, who begins to exhibit disturbing behaviour after requesting a divorce. The original 1981 film was written and directed by Polish filmmaker Andrzej Żuławski and starred Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani.
