Gantz and Erdan continue talks on forming a political alliance

National Unity chairman Benny Gantz and former minister Gilad Erdan held another meeting at Gantz's home as they seek to advance an initiative to form a joint political bloc ahead of the upcoming elections. According to Channel 12 News, the meeting took place in a positive atmosphere, and the two agreed to continue discussions next week. The possibility of establishing negotiating teams to work out the details of a potential alliance is also being considered. During the meeting, Erdan stressed that the success of the initiative depends on establishing shared principles before negotiating positions on the party slate. Gantz presented his own conditions for the alliance, including a commitment to form a broad Zionist government that does not rely on Haredi or Arab parties, the passage of a universal draft law, the promotion of state education, and judicial reform based on broad consensus. The meeting followed Gantz's public call for the unification of forces into a third political bloc.
