Turkey seeks Interpol arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Israeli officials

The Turkish government has requested that Interpol issue international arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and dozens of other senior officials. The request was submitted as part of ongoing criminal proceedings at Istanbul’s 11th High Criminal Court. According to reports, the charges stem from the Israeli military's interception of the 'Global Sumud' flotilla, which was stopped in international waters while attempting to reach the Gaza Strip. As of now, there is no indication that Interpol has accepted the request. Under Interpol’s regulations, a submission by a member state does not automatically result in the issuance of an arrest warrant, and the matter is subject to review in accordance with the organization's rules and international law.
