Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball team begins pre-season training outside Israel

Hapoel Tel Aviv has begun its pre-season training for the EuroLeague in Sofia, Bulgaria. The club stated that due to the security situation, it will conduct most of its pre-season preparations outside Israel. The team is scheduled to play exhibition matches in Bulgaria, Belgrade, and Italy. Hapoel will return to Israel on September 17 for the Super Cup match against Maccabi Tel Aviv, before returning to Bulgaria to finalize preparations for their EuroLeague opener against Bayern Munich on September 24. Tomer Ginat, who was released from the Israeli national team due to injury, is currently training in Sofia, though he is not expected to be fit for the Super Cup. Meanwhile, the club is working to finalize citizenship documentation for Jacob Toppin ahead of the Super Cup match.
