Record heat-related deaths in 2023, WHO-partnered report finds

According to a new report partnered with the World Health Organization, climate inaction continues to harm human health. The report indicates that in 2023, an estimated 710,000 deaths globally were attributed to heat. For the first time, more than seven in 10 of these fatalities were linked to human-caused climate change.
