Hill Street Blues actor Jon Cypher dies aged 94

Jon Cypher, best known for his role as Chief Daniels in the television series Hill Street Blues, died at his home in Central Point, Oregon, on 3 August. He was 94. His family confirmed to the local outlet Ashland News that the actor passed away with his wife by his side. No cause of death was disclosed. Cypher appeared in numerous episodes of Hill Street Blues, which aired between 1981 and 1987. His extensive credits also include the series Major Dad and dozens of other film and television projects. In 1987, he played Man-At-Arms in the film Masters of the Universe, a key ally to the character He-Man. Over a career spanning nearly half a century, Cypher established himself as a prominent figure in American television.
