16 Givati soldiers sentenced to prison for refusing to accompany female paramedic

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that 16 soldiers from the Givati Brigade have been sentenced to prison for insubordination after refusing to enter an armored personnel carrier (APC) that was accompanied by a female paramedic. This act of disobedience resulted in the cancellation of a planned operational mission in the Gaza Strip. According to the Times of Israel, the two soldiers who led the refusal will face a disciplinary committee before they are permitted to return to combat duty. The IDF stated that such conduct is in violation of military disciplinary standards.
