Israeli Military Operations Continue in Quneitra and Damascus Countryside

Israeli military forces targeted the western areas of Al-Mashala village in the central Quneitra countryside with artillery fire on Sunday, resulting in livestock losses. According to local reports, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft were also observed flying over the province. This escalation follows recent strikes near the village of Al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiya and indiscriminate firing at civilian homes in the village of Ma'ariya in the western Daraa countryside. Reports also indicate that Israeli forces conducted incursions into the Quneitra countryside, including a raid on a house in the village of Al-Asbah. Furthermore, artillery fire was reported in the Tal Bat al-Warda area on the outskirts of Beit Jinn in the western Damascus countryside. Israel declared the 1974 disengagement agreement void following the collapse of the Bashar al-Assad regime on December 8, 2024, subsequently occupying the Syrian buffer zone and other sites, including the Syrian side of Mount Hermon. On July 26, Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara stated that his country is working with international partners to reach a security agreement with Israel, adding that its success could pave the way for comprehensive peace without relinquishing Syria's claim to the occupied Golan Heights.
