IDF strikes in Lebanon after soldiers down Hezbollah drone

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced on Friday that soldiers intercepted a drone launched by Hezbollah toward troops operating in the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. No Israeli soldiers were injured during the incident. In response, the IDF launched strikes against targets in southern Lebanon. The IDF described the drone launch as a blatant violation and stated that its forces would continue to operate in the Security Zone to neutralize threats to Israeli civilians and soldiers. On Thursday, the IDF reported that it had cleared Hezbollah from the Ali al-Taher Ridge, achieving operational control both above and below ground. Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel would maintain its presence on the ridge until Hezbollah is disarmed, noting that the site served as a strategic command center for attacks against Israeli forces and the Galilee region.
