i24NEWS crew attacked in Belfast while filming report on antisemitism

An i24NEWS crew, consisting of reporter Yonatan Raveh and videographer Nadav Abas, was assaulted last week while filming a report in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on the rise of antisemitism in Europe. The incident occurred in a bar district as the team was interviewing passersby. According to the report, an individual identified the crew as Israeli and attempted to seize their equipment, disrupting the shoot with obscene gestures. As the journalists attempted to de-escalate and leave the area, the assailant approached the videographer and threw a large glass beer pint at him, causing a bleeding laceration to his head. The crew has since departed Northern Ireland and returned to Israel. The footage was intended for a documentary series on global antisemitism, which is scheduled to air on i24NEWS in the coming weeks.
