Damon Wayans to guest star on St. Denis Medical

Damon Wayans is set to make a guest appearance in the third season of NBC’s St. Denis Medical, marking a reunion with his former In Living Color co-star David Alan Grier. Wayans will portray Dr. Hyland, a new physician at St. Denis Hospital described as charming but arrogant. He steps in to cover for Grier’s character, Ron, while he recovers from surgery. According to reports, the hospital staff and patients are quickly won over by Dr. Hyland’s personality and insights, with the notable exception of Alex. NBC has released a first-look image of the character. Created by Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin, St. Denis Medical is set in an underfunded and understaffed Oregon hospital where dedicated staff struggle to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity. This project marks a significant reunion for Wayans and Grier, who rose to prominence together on the sketch comedy series In Living Color. Wayans is also widely known for his roles in My Wife and Kids and Lethal Weapon.
