Neither a nuclear deal nor military strikes: the strategy that could bring down Iran’s ayatollahs

In an opinion piece published by Ynet, Col. (res.) Doron Hadar, former commander of the IDF's Crisis Management and Negotiation Unit, argues that the current strategic dilemma between negotiating a nuclear deal and launching military strikes shares a fundamental flaw: neither guarantees the overthrow of the regime. Hadar proposes a 'chaos theory' strategy, aiming for systemic collapse through simultaneous, accumulated pressures across military, economic, cyber, and informational domains. He emphasizes that this must be paired with international support for Iranian civil society and the urgent creation of a credible, organized political transition framework to prevent a power vacuum and pave the way for a stable alternative.
