Chinese robot breaks Usain Bolt’s 100-meter world record

During the second annual Robot Olympics in Beijing, a Chinese robot named 'Tiangong Ultra' completed a 100-meter race in 9.39 seconds, surpassing the historic world record held by Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt. A second robot, 'Lightning,' also broke Bolt's record with a time of 9.47 seconds, though both machines struggled to stop at the finish line and subsequently crashed. The event, which hosts robots from 16 countries, features a variety of competitions including table tennis, Muay Thai, high jump, and soccer matches. Technology experts noted that these feats demonstrate the beginning of an era where machines are increasingly surpassing human physical records.
