RioFilme allocates 15 million reais for international co-productions

RioFilme, the film and television agency for the city of Rio de Janeiro, has announced a call for proposals worth 15 million reais—approximately three million dollars—to support up to four international co-production projects. According to Variety, the scheme covers projects involving companies based in Rio de Janeiro. Feature-length fiction films and animated features are eligible to apply for the funding. Leonardo Edde, president of RioFilme, told Variety that he will announce the details of the new credit line during a panel at the Gramado Film Market at the 2026 Gramado Film Festival.
