Zelenskyy accuses Russia of ramping up attacks on Ukraine ahead of U.S. talks

According to CBS News, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia targeted Kyiv and 12 other regions with 36 missiles and 172 drones. Zelenskyy highlighted a shortage of interceptors, noting that only four missiles were downed. The strikes damaged energy infrastructure, caused power and water outages, and partially destroyed a kindergarten. Zelenskyy also alleged that KN-23 missiles manufactured in North Korea were used in one of the strikes. The attacks occur ahead of trilateral talks scheduled for Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, brokered by the Trump administration. Meanwhile, in the Zaporizhzhia region, recovery efforts continue in the village of Komyshuvakha, where the death toll from a Russian strike on a shelter has reached 55. Conversely, Russia reported shooting down 411 Ukrainian drones over 10 regions, noting damage to the Saratov Oil Refinery and the Proton-Electrotex plant in Oryol.
