Sunrisers Leeds secure playoff spot with win over Super Giants

The Sunrisers Leeds have qualified for the knockout stages of The Hundred after a decisive 41-run victory over the Manchester Super Giants at Old Trafford on Tuesday, finishing with a total of 166 to 125. Dani Gibson added 24 off 13 balls to the total. With this win, the Sunrisers leapfrogged the Super Giants into the top three. They will face Southern Brave in the Eliminator at The Oval on Friday, with the winner advancing to Sunday's final at Lord's against Trent Rockets. Elsewhere, Wednesday's double-header at Sophia Gardens and Edgbaston sees Welsh Fire women host London Spirit, while Birmingham Phoenix face MI London. While none of these four teams can reach the playoffs, the Welsh Fire men's side remains in contention for the Eliminator, requiring a significant win over London Spirit to boost their net run rate. MI London also require a high-scoring victory over Phoenix to secure third place.
