‘Sea of Glass’ Brings ‘Country Gothic Noir’ Tradition to Greece

According to Variety, Greek filmmaker Alexis Alexiou has brought his third feature film, 'Sea of Glass,' to the Thessaloniki International Film Festival following its premiere in Edinburgh. Inspired by films such as 'The Postman Always Rings Twice' and 'Thelma & Louise,' the noir-infused drama is set in a down-at-the-heels resort town on the island of Evia. The film is scheduled for a special screening in Thessaloniki before a limited theatrical release across Greece on November 12.
