Fin Smith fit to face Australia as Ben Curry replaces injured twin Tom in England line-up
According to The Guardian, Fin Smith has successfully passed his final fitness test and is named at fly-half for England’s autumn opener against Australia. Ben Curry has been selected at openside flanker for the first time since the summer of 2025. Head coach Steve Borthwick has made four changes to the side that beat Argentina in July, with Maro Itoje returning as captain and George Furbank starting at fullback. Tom Curry, Ben's twin brother, sustained an injury in training on Wednesday, with concerns that he may miss the entire autumn campaign. Additionally, Exeter back-row Greg Fisilau is in line for his international debut from the bench.
