Liam McIntyre explores Wolverine’s vulnerability in new Marvel game

Liam McIntyre, who plays Logan in the upcoming Marvel's Wolverine video game, has spoken to Deadline about the process of bringing the character to life through voice acting and motion capture. He stated that his goal was to deliver a version of Wolverine that feels both familiar to audiences and distinct in its own right. McIntyre noted that portraying Wolverine presents a unique challenge, as the character must sound, look, and move like someone who has been through hell, yet remain capable enough to emerge unscathed. During a three-hour preview event at Insomniac Games' headquarters in Burbank, he discussed the effort to find a version of Logan that retains the expected violence, grit, and toughness of the famous mutant while remaining grounded and uniquely his own. According to Deadline, the actor utilised both voice acting and motion capture for the role. The core of his performance focused on balancing Logan's 'endless rage' with more vulnerable layers, an approach intended to provide a more human perspective on the iconic Marvel hero. Marvel's Wolverine is being developed by Insomniac Games and focuses on the story of Logan, with McIntyre in the lead role.
