Spain says goodbye to Jesus de Miguel at emotional funeral

The funeral of Jesus de Miguel Alameda, known as 'Demi', the Tenerife striker who died three days after an on-field collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono, was held in the village of Navahermosa in La Mancha. The ceremony was attended by figures including Spain manager Luis de la Fuente and representatives from various clubs. The 30-year-old player passed away in hospital, and a preliminary autopsy pointed to thoracic trauma and commotio cordis. Teammates, family members, and Spanish football officials gathered to bid him farewell, while Tenerife and other sports organizations pledged support for his family.
