Spider-Man: A Brand New Day retains UK and Ireland box office lead
The superhero film Spider-Man: A Brand New Day has secured the top spot at the UK and Ireland box office for the second week in a row, grossing £10.1 million ($13.6 million) during its second weekend of release. The film's cumulative total after 13 days stands at $87.4 million. Produced by Sony, the title successfully maintained its lead over its primary competitor. Universal's epic Odyssey retained second place in its fourth weekend of release. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film earned an additional $4.8 million during this period. The total box office gross for Odyssey in the UK and Ireland has now reached $82.6 million. The close competition between the two films at the top of the chart remains the most significant development in this week's box office report for these markets.
