Iphigénie en Tauride review at London Coliseum

According to The Guardian, the English National Opera (ENO) is staging Gluck's Iphigénie en Tauride for the first time, directed by Lyndsey Turner with set design by Soutra Gilmour. Critic Erica Jeal highlights strong performances by Christine Rice as Iphigénie, Nick Pritchard as Pylades, and Jacques Imbrailo as Orestes. However, the review questions the ENO's departure from its tradition of performing in English, noting that singable translations exist. The production runs at the London Coliseum until 14 November.
