Iconic Paris hotel becomes filming location for new season of ‘The White Lotus’

The historic Hotel Lutetia in Paris, dating back to 1910, has been selected as a primary filming location for the fourth season of the hit HBO series 'The White Lotus'. Located in the 6th arrondissement, the hotel has experienced a turbulent history; during the Nazi occupation of France, it served as the headquarters for German military intelligence, and following the liberation of Paris in 1945, it became a reception center for Holocaust survivors. The hotel, which once hosted cultural icons such as Pablo Picasso and James Joyce, is currently owned by the Alrov Group, controlled by Israeli businessman Alfred Akirov. Following an extensive 235 million euro renovation that lasted four years, the hotel reopened in 2018, and as of 2025, its management has been transferred to the Mandarin Oriental hotel group. The appearance of the hotel in 'The White Lotus', a series known for highlighting its filming locations, is expected to bring further global attention to the landmark property.
