Netanyahu warns right-wing voters of risks posed by splinter parties

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has released a video urging right-wing voters to refrain from supporting small parties that fail to cross the electoral threshold, warning that splitting the vote among such groups could facilitate a return of the left to power. Netanyahu described the potential loss of votes as a disaster for Israel. Referencing the 1992 elections, Netanyahu argued that internal divisions within the right-wing camp at that time led to the victory of the Labor party, which he claimed resulted in severe security consequences. The Prime Minister criticized the formation of new splinter parties, stating that they effectively waste votes that could otherwise support a right-wing coalition. He urged voters to consolidate their support to prevent what he termed a diplomatic and internal disaster. Furthermore, Netanyahu warned that a potential government formed by figures such as Gadi Eisenkot, Yair Golan, Mansour Abbas, and Avigdor Liberman would threaten freedom of expression and undermine the country's democratic foundations.
