According to Variety, producer Namit Malhotra stated that the decision to adapt the Indian epic 'Ramayana Part 1' on such a scale was made once the necessary talent and experience were in place to do justice to the story. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the first of two films stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The score marks the first time A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer have collaborated on an Indian film. T-Series is the music label, and Amazon Music is the streaming partner for the soundtrack.
