Patra Spanou acquires worldwide rights to Rodrigo Plá’s children’s film

Düsseldorf-based Patra Spanou Film has acquired the worldwide sales rights to 'Los nuevos' (The Newcomers), directed by Rodrigo Plá. The deal was finalised following the film's world premiere in the children's screening section at the Locarno Film Festival. Rodrigo Plá, the Mexican filmmaker known for 'The Other Tom', has ventured into children's cinema for the first time with this project. Patra Spanou, head of the company, told Variety that the agreement was concluded shortly after the film's debut in Locarno. She stated that she has followed Plá's work for some time and is pleased to begin their collaboration with this film. Patra Spanou Film will now manage the international distribution and sales of the title.
