Are Trump’s global actions, from Ukraine to Iran, going to hurt him in elections?
According to the Guardian, Donald Trump's global actions, including his sudden shift on Ukraine, a diesel deal with Vladimir Putin, the protracted war with Iran, and sweeping trade tariffs, have sparked deep frustration among traditional Republican voters. In Jenkintown, a Pennsylvania suburb of Philadelphia, many Ukrainian Americans who previously backed the US president, such as retired teacher Irene Skulsky, stated they can no longer support him or his party due to Washington's abandonment of Kyiv and the intelligence-sharing fallout. Furthermore, the US-Israeli war on Iran, launched in February, has closed the Strait of Hormuz, driving up global oil prices and fueling inflation for American consumers. Polls consistently show that roughly 70 percent of voters disapprove of Trump's handling of the war and the economy, posing a significant risk to Republican candidates in the upcoming November 3 midterm elections.
