Missing Israeli mother and daughter located alive on South American bus

The Israel Police announced on Friday that Mali and Liel Yahalomi, a mother and daughter who had been missing since the previous Friday, were located alive in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Footage released by the police showed the two being identified aboard a bus. The Israel Police, in cooperation with domestic security agencies and international organizations such as Europol, conducted an extensive operation to locate them. A senior police official told Channel 12 News that investigations indicated their departure from Israel was voluntary and motivated by financial debts. Once the two were confirmed to be safe and not involved in any criminal incident, the police investigation concluded, and they were permitted to continue on their way. The Yahalomi family expressed immense relief that they were found alive and thanked the police and all entities involved in the search. Previously, Austrian police had confirmed that the pair had left Vienna by train for Germany before flying to Argentina.
