UAE temperatures set to hit 50°C with rain expected

The UAE's National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has reported that temperatures are expected to reach 50°C in remote desert areas of Abu Dhabi, such as Al Razeen, this Saturday. Scorching late summer heat is set to persist across the Emirates, with daytime temperatures in Abu Dhabi and Dubai expected to remain in the low 40s throughout the weekend. In contrast, the Northern Emirates, including Fujairah, will experience slightly cooler conditions with temperatures ranging between 34°C and 35°C. The weather bureau also forecasts cloudy conditions and showers in Al Ain, with heavier rain expected in Al Quaa. While September is often referred to as "Sweat-tember" due to high humidity, historical data from 1991 to 2020 indicates that temperatures typically begin a noticeable decline as the country transitions toward the cooler winter months starting in October.
