Rahm edges ahead of Hatton & McIlroy in Abu Dhabi

According to BBC Sport, 31-year-old Spaniard Jon Rahm moved into the outright lead at the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links after carding a six-under-par 66 in the third round. He currently sits at 18 under par, one shot clear of England's Tyrrell Hatton and Italy's Francesco Laporta. Rory McIlroy, a six-time major winner, remains in contention in fourth place, two shots off the lead. Rahm, who has not won an individual tournament since the 2023 Masters, is aiming for victory. McIlroy, who has performed strongly since a two-shot penalty in the opening round, acknowledges he will need a low score in the mid-60s to win on the final day. Hatton and Laporta will join Rahm in the final group on Sunday.
