According to Deadline, former England soccer manager Gareth Southgate has struck a content deal with Sky Sports. Southgate’s 1071 Media is partnering with Sky Sports on YouTube and podcast content, with Sky Media representing the formats commercially. Among the announced programs is 'The Football Dugout,' a weekly podcast and YouTube show hosted by Mark Chapman and Conor Coady, which explores the tactical side of the game. Other shows include 'The Football Boardcast,' featuring Christian Purslow and Henry Winter, and 'The Football Data Room,' which combines data with insight. Southgate, who launched 1071 Media with Jimmy Worrall, stated that the intention is to combine exciting new concepts with leading thinkers in sport to educate, inform, and entertain fans.
