Two Palestinians reported wounded by settler gunfire in West Bank

According to the Palestinian Nursing and Midwifery Association, 26-year-old nurse Muhammad al-Mutawwar was shot in the back by settlers on Friday evening in the town of Sa’ir, near Hebron, resulting in a severed spinal cord and permanent paralysis. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that another young woman was also wounded in the head and back during the same incident and was transported to a hospital. Palestinian media reported that the shooting was carried out by a group of settlers who opened fire on homes in the al-Uddeissa area from a nearby outpost.

In a separate incident in the village of Qusra, settlers attacked a municipal maintenance crew attempting to repair water and power lines damaged by extremists. Local residents told the Haaretz daily that upon the arrival of Israeli military forces, the movement of the Palestinian workers was restricted, and according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, three of the workers were detained by troops. The Israel Defense Forces did not respond to requests for comment regarding these incidents.

Additionally, in Umm al-Khair in the South Hebron Hills, reports emerged of five Palestinians, including women and children, being injured during a settler attack. In another incident at Ein Shibli in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a 16-year-old boy was beaten by settlers near a military roadblock, and that the ambulance transporting him was delayed for over an hour due to interference by Israeli security forces.
