US officials reportedly planning visit to West Bank village of Qusra

According to Israeli television, a delegation of senior American officials intends to visit the West Bank village of Qusra, south of Nablus, in the coming days. The visit aims to allow officials to witness the situation firsthand following reports that extremist settlers have besieged Palestinian residents. The US officials have reportedly requested that senior Israeli defense officials join them to explain the situation and outline plans to address the rising phenomenon of settler violence. US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee condemned the violence in Qusra last week, labeling the perpetrators as terrorists. Meanwhile, reports indicate that the IDF has provided the Israel Police with numerous photographs of the attackers; however, the police have stated that the material lacks sufficient detail to serve as a basis for arrest. The Shin Bet is reportedly working to compile enough evidence to charge those involved in the attacks.
