New report identifies intact bunker at Natanz nuclear facility

The Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) has identified a partially submerged, bunkered structure at the Natanz nuclear complex. According to the report, the facility, constructed between 2010 and 2017, was likely intended to store uranium hexafluoride to support large-scale enrichment. The institute noted that the structure does not appear to have been targeted during military operations in 2025 and 2026. Jason Brodsky, policy director at United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), stated that if the site remains intact and capable of enrichment, it should be targeted in future strikes. He added that because Iran is currently blocking IAEA inspections of bombed sites, Washington and Jerusalem must rely on their own intelligence estimates. A spokesperson for the IAEA told Fox News that the building is well-known to the agency and was regularly inspected prior to mid-2025. The White House responded by asserting that Iran’s nuclear facilities were heavily damaged during Operation Midnight Hammer and reiterated the Trump administration's commitment to preventing the Islamic Republic from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
