On Thursday, Trump rejected reports that he was seeking a meeting with Iranian officials, claiming on Truth Social that Tehran is the one pushing for dialogue. Meanwhile, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced a campaign to further isolate the Iranian government and restrict its revenue sources. US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated on Monday that Washington has not ruled out additional strikes against Iran or operations in the Strait of Hormuz.
