Transfer deadline day: Manchester City seek deals for Enzo Fernandez and Iliman Ndiaye

Manchester City are exploring a transfer deadline day double swoop for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez and Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye. Reports suggest Chelsea are seeking at least £120m for the 25-year-old Argentine, whom City manager Enzo Maresca is keen to reunite with. A £65m deal has also been agreed for Senegal international Ndiaye.

Everton are looking to rectify their lack of summer signings by agreeing to re-sign Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City. The club has also agreed a £40m deal for Monaco forward Folarin Balogun, as manager David Moyes seeks to bolster his squad following a difficult start to the season.

Aston Villa have continued their recruitment drive by signing 18-year-old Senegal winger Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain for £47m. Mbaye, who became the youngest African player to score at a World Cup this summer, joins alongside defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who moved from Southampton in a deal worth up to £30m.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are hoping to seal a £55m deal for Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo. As part of their squad adjustments, the Magpies have agreed to send German attacker Nick Woltemade on loan to Juventus, following his arrival at Tyneside last summer.
