200,000 newly displaced in Sudan as fighting and floods intensify

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported on Wednesday that intensifying fighting in Sudan has displaced at least another 200,000 people since late 2025. The UN agency stated that destructive seasonal floods are compounding the massive humanitarian emergency already gripping the country. The combination of ongoing conflict and natural disasters has severely exacerbated living conditions for millions.
