IRGC claims capture of US submarine drone in Strait of Hormuz

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims to have captured an unmanned US submersible at the entrance of the Strait of Hormuz. The military organization released images of the vessel, which it says is being held at an undisclosed location in Iran. In response to the claim, a Pentagon spokesperson stated that a US underwater drone had malfunctioned more than a day ago. The incident occurs amid ongoing tensions in the Persian Gulf region.
