Creators of ‘No Other Land’ to Premiere New Gaza Documentary at Venice Film Festival

Israeli filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, who previously won an Oscar for 'No Other Land,' are returning to the Venice Film Festival with a new documentary titled 'NAZA.' The film, which is the only documentary in the main competition at the 83rd Venice Film Festival, will have its world premiere on September 10. According to the festival, the film is based on investigations published by Abraham between 2023 and 2025 in Local Call, +972 Magazine, and The Guardian. The title is derived from the Hebrew military acronym for 'collateral damage,' a term used to describe uninvolved civilians who may be harmed during strikes. The creators state the film seeks to expose the mechanisms behind what they describe as the mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The documentary was produced by The Guardian’s documentary division and British producer James Wilson, with Oscar-winning filmmaker Jonathan Glazer also serving as a producer.
