PA police detain IDF reservist in Area C, seize his weapon

According to Arutz Sheva, Palestinian Authority security forces operated overnight on the Beitunia bypass road in western Binyamin, an area designated as Area C, where they are prohibited from operating. During the incident, the officers detained an IDF reservist traveling toward the Dolev-Talmonim bloc and confiscated his military-issued weapon. The soldier was reported to be unharmed. The Binyamin Regional Council issued a strong protest against the Civil Administration, accusing it of blaming the Israeli resident for traveling in a dangerous area rather than addressing the unauthorized presence of PA police in Area C. Israel Ganz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, stated that the incident proves the Oslo Accords have become meaningless. He called on Israeli decision-makers to cancel the accords, ensure free movement in the region, and establish a secure route between the Dolev-Talmonim bloc and Highway 443.
