ITV has renewed the comedy panel show Sorry, I Didn't Know for a seventh series, extending its record as the longest-running programme from a Black-led production company. According to representatives for the programme, this renewal cements its status as the longest-running Black-led television show in British history. The production team claims it has surpassed the classic Channel 4 sitcom Desmond's, which aired for six series between 1989 and 1994. Another potential rival, The Real McCoy, aired on BBC Two from 1991 to 1996, spanning five series and a special. Deadline notes that verifying such records is complex due to variations in how series, specials, and formats are counted. However, both ITV and TriForce Productions maintain that Sorry, I Didn't Know now holds the title. The programme is hosted by Chizzy Akudolu, with Richard Blackwood and Eddie Kadi serving as team captains.
